Measurement Plane

The measurement-plane (MP), see The figure below , is the traffic network, e.g. the network under test (supervision). Measurement sessions are setup between the probes as well as 2xOneWay hosted agents (Reflectors) to measure/supervise the network's delivered degree of QoS and service quality in a continuous 24/7 manner.

The PTAnalyzer system supports a number of different session types. The sessions are configurable regarding protocol and encapsulation, IP addressing scheme, frame-size, frame-rate, bandwidth, and duration, etc.
